About this Course

Top-notch UX design is not just about solid usability; you must also consider the aesthetics and visual appeal of your interface. In this course, you’ll build upon what you learned in the previous two courses and dive into the principles, tools and techniques of visual design, user interface design, interaction design and accessibility.

We’ll explore the fundamentals of visual design and how to use them effectively to communicate clearly and with emotion and meaning. We’ll build various UI design tools, such as mood boards, style guides and design libraries to create consistent, efficient and engaging product experiences. You’ll also learn accessibility standards and how to design for a broadly inclusive audience. Finally, we’ll create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes to validate and bring our user-centered product experiences to life.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to translate wireframes and incorporate user flows in well-designed comps
  • Ways to leverage design systems (HIG, Material, Fluent) to design native and custom interfaces.
  • How to create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes for concept validation and usability
  • Ways to effectively articulate design decisions to stakeholders

Get Hands-on Experience

You'll complete a team capstone project that visually demonstrates step-by-step interactions for a complex business service system.
